Pencell is the active animation studio in Yangon, Myanmar, founded by the two brothers, Nobel Aung (Former Art Director of “Gwen University” Animated Web Series) and Nyan Kyal Say (Director of Multiple-Award-Winning “My Life I Don’t Want” Animated Short). Inspired by the works of Hayao Miyazaki, Walt Disney and Dreamworks Studios, a group of young talented Myanmar artists makes it home here at Pencell and works together to tell the stories of Myanmar through the animation medium.
